A home entertainment system takes your home from great to incredible. Many families are investing some time and cash into building an entertainment system right in the comfort of their home.
The Boston area is turning to you, the companies who have rightfully claimed their spot in the home entertainment installation industry. If you’re a seasoned professional, you’re aware of all the connections that are involved in home entertainment.
CableLAN Products, Inc. is here to help take some of the burden off your shoulders. Choosing a local company to provide cabling as opposed to a big box store like Lowe’s, Home Depot, or Best Buy, will save you big bucks.
Choose a company that knows what they’re talking about.
You’re no stranger to home entertainment installation, but the digital world is one that’s constantly changing. Cables must be up-to-date with the latest standards in technology. While you’re the expert, our team can offer cabling solutions that will make your job easier (and cheaper)!
So, where do we come in? In order for the entertainment systems to work, they need to be properly connected with the latest solutions. There are two main forms of connections that you can choose from;
Category 5: Category 5 is high-quality wire for voice and data transmission. For data installations it comes in “twisted pairs,” two solid-core insulated wires twisted together to reduce interference. Cat-5 wire carries data at 100 megabits per second. Cat-5e (enhanced) carries data at 350 megabits.
Home-run wiring: A home-run wiring scheme runs a single wire or cable from a centrally located distributed panel to a given outlet box. It’s also called a “star” pattern. Modern whole-house installments tend to be home-run type.
Many homes are even switching to “future proof” fiber networks for their entertainment installations.
As we mentioned in our previous blog, FTTH (Fiber To The Home), is a fiber optic solution that connects directly to the home. This revolutionary method of communication provides increased speeds and improved connectivity in homes. In fact, the FTTH Council of America says,
“Connecting homes directly to fiber optic cable enables enormous improvements in the bandwidth that can be provided to consumers.”
Before you determine the methods of connection you need, you’ll need to ask yourself a few question.
Is this home entertainment project part of a larger home remodel? If so, the stage of remodel depends on where the connections are placed. If you or your client is unsure, not to worry! We’re flexible!
What components would your customer like for their new system? Whether they’d like to upgrade their TV, improve the set-up for their gaming system, or totally revamp the room with a projector, screen, and surround sound system, we can help you make the connections!
Finally, what entertainment features are your customers interested in? In-wall and ceiling speakers? Remote controlled blinds or shades? They are only limited by their imagination! Thankfully, we have the technology to make it happen!
Choosing a local company that’s been around as long as we have, gives you the luxury of choice. We carry products from the most trusted brands in the industry. We have also become a worldwide supplier of fiber optic and electrical communication cables and other products to nuclear power plants around the world.
Our manufacturing partners are among the premier companies in the industry. Many have been with us from day one, but we continue to add products to serve markets that didn’t even exist in 1994! Our success is only possible with the support from our customers. Many customers have been with us since our start. We sincerely thank you for your business, suggestions and loyalty.
Consider a local provider like CableLAN Products, Inc. over Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Staples where the prices are higher and service is elusive.
